Abstract

Se presenta un diagnóstico de la operación del tránsito en la carrera 12 de Tunja, entre calles 18 y 22, mediante un estudio de observación del corredor en un día típico, en un periodo de alta demanda, secaracteriza dicho sistema mediante los estudios de ingeniería de tránsito pertinentes y basados en los parámetros definidos en el Highway Capacity Manual del año 2000 (HCM 2000). Se expone de una forma clara la metodología usada para lograr dicho fin y se muestran algunas alternativas propuestas para mejorar la movilidad del corredor con base en el análisisde la información primaria de los estudios y la modelación de las intersecciones en HCS 2000.
