Resumen

Uno de los temas de estudio e investigación que más se ha tratado en los últimos años, se refiere a las redes de sensores inalámbricas (WSN), en la búsqueda de la literatura se puede observar que la mayoría de publicaciones y estudios se centra en el mejoramiento de la eficiencia energética y el tiempo de vida de la red, atacando varios puntos esenciales de la misma. En este artículo se abordarán las principales técnicas para lograr este cometido, se define además, un modelo básico de consumo y se introduce el concepto de “Energía por ciclo” en WSN.
