Bioderecho, ‘dilema del doble uso’ y libertad de la investigación científica

Este artículo tiene como objetivo explorar legalmente el dilema del doble uso, referido a dos áreas: una, que es más 'tradicional: es el campo de la ciencia y tecnología nuclear, y la otra, que es una nueva área emergente, es la biología sintética. Una conclusión importante será que la libertad de investigación científica, que es fundamental en este contexto, debe protegerse, pero al mismo tiempo los demás derechos y libertades en juego no pueden "suprimirse" ni "sacrificarse".

Abogada, Doctora en Derecho Comparado y Europeo, Universidad de Tren to, Italia, e Investigadora Postdoctoral en Derecho Europeo, Facultad de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas y Criminología, Universidad de Lieja, Bélgica. Ha desarrollado investigación postdoctoral en el Uehiro Centre for Practica! Ethics, Univrsity of Oxford, Inglaterra. Entre sus más recientes publicaciones se cuentan el libro Synthetic biology between cha/lenges and risks.
